Natural Deodorant

For all my gram counters out there, by making this deodorant you will be saving a small amount of weight and a small amount of space. But the biggest benefit for everyone is that it’s homemade and natural! The little jar you see in the video will last about 3 months depending on how much you use at one time.

You will need:

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup baking soda

  • 1/4 cup corn flour

  • 20 drops essential oil

Method:

Step 1:
You’ll want your coconut oil to be relatively soft to make it easier to mix in. If your coconut oil is too hard, you can warm it up in the microwave for 30 seconds beforehand.

Step 2:
Combine the coconut oil, corn flour and baking soda in a bowl. Stir with a spoon until the mixture is smooth and blended in.

Step 3:
Add in the essential oils of your choice.

Step 4:
Place the desired amount for your trip into a small airtight container. Place the remaining mixture into another container for storage. The small jar you see here came from a site called LiteSmith: https://www.litesmith.com/mini-jars/

How to Use:

Swipe your finger into the deodorant getting about a tiny pea sized amount, and rub it into your underarm. If you are using in a cold climate, you will need to warm it up first with your finger.

Note:
Some people are a bit more sensitive to baking soda than others, so if this is your first time making this recipe, I recommend putting slightly less baking soda in and see how it goes.
