Paper Soap

DIY

So what is paper soap? It is dissolvable paper that have soap on them. When you expose them to water they're going to become soapy. You can make these with hand soap, shampoo or dish washing liquid. Suitable for hiking and travel, reducing the weight for something that is normally a liquid!

  • The soap of your choice. (im using dish washing liquid for this)

  • Scissors

  • A thick paintbrush

  • Clothes pegs

  • Ziplock bag (for storage)

  • Baking tray

  • Water Soluble paper. (Affiliate link to purchase the Water Soluble Paper) - https://amzn.to/31aiHbH

Method:

Step 1:
Begin by laying one sheet of paper onto the baking tray. Pour your soap onto the side of the tray.

Step 2:
Using the paint brush, brush the soap evenly over the paper, leaving one end of the paper soap (about 1 inch) free so you can hang it up to dry. Flip the paper over and brush the other side. You have to work fairly quickly so the paper doesn't start to tear or dissolve.

Step 3:
Once you have covered both sides, carefully lift the paper up and hang it up to dry using the clothes pegs. On a really warm day it will only take 15 minutes to dry.

Step 4:
Once dry, bring it inside and you can begin cutting the paper into even sizes or your choice. Store the squares in a ziplock bag to bring them along on your next trip.
